Here are some preliminary audience numbers for our year-end programs:
New Year's Eve is the TV event of the year in Quebec. Again this year, the public welcomed the new year with various programs leading up to Bye bye 2022, which attracted more than three million viewers based on the preliminary data released
The New Year's Eve TV lineup drew a total of 5.6 million French-speaking Quebecers on December 31 and January 1.*
Bye bye 2022 broadcast on December 31 attracted a preliminary audience of over 3,222,000 viewers and its audience share was 91%. Among adults aged 25-54, the program drew 1,241,000 viewers (94% audience share).
The original broadcast of Infoman 2022 attracted a preliminary audience of more than 2,412,000 and commanded 77% of TV viewing among Quebecers. In the 25-54 age group, the program drew nearly 934,000 viewers and its audience share hit 85%.
Earlier on New Year's Eve, the programs En direct du jour de l'An and À l'année prochaine were also popular, attracting preliminary audiences of 1,858,000 and 1,682,000, respectively.
