CBC & Radio-Canada Media Solutions is proud to announce the hiring of seasoned industry veteran Hisham Ghostine to fill the role of Executive Director of Sales, Marketing & Olympics for Toronto and Western Canada, following the retirement of Mary Kreuk at the end of April.
Ghostine joins CBC/Radio-Canada after more than 20 years in the industry. Most recently, he was the CEO of Media and Performance Brands at Dentsu Aegis Network in Canada. Ghostine's illustrious career spans across the globe. Before moving to Canada, he spent 10 years at Omnicom Media Group in various roles with his last 5 years serving as Chief Growth & Revenue Officer for the Middle East & North Africa in Dubai. Since then, he has served as a Board Member at Numeris, the President of Amplifi Canada, and the Chief Commercial Officer at Dentsu Aegis Network in Canada. He holds an Executive MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.
“The contributions and groundwork that Mary Kreuk built over the past 6 years before her retirement left our team in a solid position, but we are so thrilled to welcome Hisham to our group,” says Donald Lizotte, General Manager & Chief Revenue Officer at CBC/Radio-Canada. “Hisham is a strategic thinker, and his extensive agency experience will be invaluable to us. He is a strong leader, and his knowledge of both broadcast and digital will help our teams create and develop the diverse, innovative, and award-winning business solutions that our clients are looking for.”
“CBC/RC is one of Canada's most trusted brands, a top rated Canadian employer and a true national icon for Canadians,” says Ghostine. “I am excited to join the team at a time when responsible journalism, data transparency, suitable and safe content and adtech/digital transformation are the buzzwords in our industry. CBC/Radio-Canada as a public broadcaster must be an “avant-gardiste” in leading and contributing to this meaningful transformation, it couldn't have been a better time to be part of all of this.”
Ghostine begins his appointment May 17th and will be based out of Toronto.
