My family celebrates Hanukkah and Christmas - and we're vegetarian! For Christmas, we enjoy nut-roast, roasted vegetables, and a cake we set on fire, honoring my husband’s eclectic English traditions. For Hanukkah, I make potato latkes (served with tzatziki) and sufganiyot, jelly-filled donuts. Our holiday meals are nontraditional but filled with love.

For me, the Holidays have always been my most precious time of the year when all the family comes together and we enjoy quality time. At the heart of our celebrations are all our favourite festive foods, holiday movies, and a lot of hot chocolate. The holidays are about connecting with family, great food, and proving to my mother-in-law that you can cook a turkey in 2 hours. After many years of soggy backs and overcooked breasts, I bet her that I can produce a better turkey in a fraction of the time. We've spatchcocked every turkey ever since, and she still hasn't owed up to her end of the bet…
