The story goes like this: A picturesque Acadian village has fallen on hard times (“à la valdrague”). Then one day, the remarkable Rita Melanson (Patricia Léger) comes back home and, by accident, buys the church and the presbytery. In the hopes of finding a buyer for her new property, she decides her best bet is to turn it into a profitable business. But easier said than done!
