Synopsis

In Season 2 of LA MAISON BLEUE, President Hamelin has to contend with a dramatic drop in his popularity rating. Will he be able to win the upcoming election? His last hope lies with his vice-president, Gilbert Boudreau, who's endeared himself to Quebecers after admitting to being illiterate. Hamelin's re-election campaign will be plagued by a serious crisis. The maple trees owned by the province's maple syrup control board – the fictitious Société québécoise du sirop d'érable (SQDSE) – have dried up! Quebec is deprived of its beloved condiment and the people are getting restless! What's behind the syrup shortage- is it due to natural causes or an act of sabotage?
