Synopsis

François Bellefeuille plays Antoine Meilleur, a star veterinarian. Host of hit shows, he also owns a veterinary hospital and a veritable empire of pet products. However, his world is turned upside down when he is plunged into scandal, following an incident with a dog on live TV. Closely linked to his own, his company's image is greatly affected.

Antoine's business partner Manon (Nathalie Breuer), who owns a house in the Îles-de-la-Madeleine, suggests that he temporarily exile himself there to let the dust settle. Trying to clear his head, he meets Stéphane (Robin-Joël Cool), a man with a hazy past who says he no longer lives in the "system". Stéphane takes him under his wing, even though Antoine could do without him. His wife Kim (Émilie Bibeau) and son Félix, whose lives have also been turned upside down by recent events, join him for the summer vacations. Antoine wonders whether he can return to the basics of his profession and mourn the loss of his celebrity status at a time when his rival, Dr. Jolicoeur, is trying to take his place in the media. Or should he take advantage of this hiatus to spend more time with his family and enjoy life?
