Synopsis

In this documentary series, host Nicolas Ouellet asks just what determines who we are: the place we come from, or the narratives we build around the person we think we are? The question couldn't be more personal: as a Black man who was adopted and raised in a mostly white milieu, he wants to fill in the gaps in his own knowledge about his background — and, on the way, meet others for whom the question of “where you're from” is more complex than it may appear.
